MathMet 2022: Measurement uncertainty in the totalisation of quantity and gas quality measurement in gas grids

In November 2022, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) hosted the 5th edition of the Mathmet international Conference.

For the occasion, the Met4H2 Project Coordinator, Adriaan van der Veen had the opportunity to intervene at the Key comparison and conformity assessment session, presenting on uncertainty in the totalisation of quantity and gas quality measurement in gas grids.

The talk was valuable in presenting the Met4H2 project, which is precisely concerned with revisiting and reworking the assumptions underlying these uncertainty assessments: this work will prove essential in making sure that hydrogen (and hydrogen mixtures) are introduced into gas grids safely.

The poster presentation provides an overview of the models under development, the initial results, and the relative magnitudes of the relevant impacts.
